Susan was able to go home three days after her surgery. The physical therapist that came to her home was a tremendous help. Ice was her “best friend.” Susan slept in a bed set up for her downstairs for the first few weeks. When she went in to have the second surgery, she knew what the process would be like. The second time around, the hospital staff gave her anti-nausea medicine, which helped a lot. She was better at keeping ahead of her pain while recovering from both surgeries.
