Liza remembers there was a lot of things she needed to get pre-op for her post-op recovery. The week of her surgery Liza describes the restrictions she had to follow which annoyed her, the most frustrating one not being able to pet her dog due to infection concerns. Liza was not under general anesthesia for her surgery. She remembers seeing the operating table, which made her anxious. The first few times Liza tried to walk she needed to sit down immediately since she was so nauseous but once the drugs wore off she felt better. Liza really loved her physical therapist that visited her at home—especially when she was advised to have two naps a day in the beginning. She understood that her body had been through a traumatic procedure and needed time to recover.
