Video Description
Richard wanted to have both hips replaced at the same time but his doctor said he could have the left hip replaced and then the right hip shortly thereafter. Richard doesn’t remember feeling any pain waking up after surgery. After Richard was discharged, his wound bothered him the most. He was very afraid of contracting an infection. Richard learned that he was working his hip too hard and that was slowing his recovery. Icing his hip helped a lot. He was so happy with his left hip—which he had done in October—he had the second hip done that January. Though each recovery were slightly different, Richard feels like choosing the best doctor is the most important factor.
