Video Description
Mimi’s husband had a hospital bed brought into the house and set up in the downstairs. He also bought her some benches—one as an aid for the toilet and the other for the shower. Mime says as long as you pace yourself—but don’t overdo it—you can do more than you think. Mimi didn’t like using painkillers but she describes an icing device that helped keep down her swelling down which “made all the difference in the world.” Her children were very active in her recovery and Mimi wanted to set a good example for them. A Physical Therapist did come to Mimi’s home but she had to do a lot more exercises and walking on her own.
