Video Description
As a single parent, Becky didn’t realize her weight had become a significant problem until she saw a picture of herself with her teenage age son and finally said to herself, “I’m obese”. By that time her weight had reached 375 pounds and she knew she needed to do something or be a burden to her son for the rest of his life. She had known that food was a comfort to her in good and bad times and that needed to change. With the help of her boss at work she pursued bariatric surgery. She emphasizes the importance of pre-surgery counseling and support groups.
