Video Description
Cathy reflects back on a lifelong battle with weight and all of the diets she tried. She talks about how doctors back in the 60’s and 70’s used speed to promote weight-loss and how those medications affected her ability to sleep to the point she began hiding the pills under her mattress at home. Cathy’s weight really started to be a bigger issue after the birth of her daughter. She put every available hour into being the best executive, wife and mother she could be all the while forgetting to take care of herself. She struggled with the thought of bariatric surgery until she finally committed to the sleeve gastrectomy surgery just a few days before it was scheduled.
