Video Description
Karen sees obesity as a manageable disease but not curable. She “never used the word obese to describe myself. I saw it on medical charts, and I didn't like it when I saw it, but I never used that term to describe myself, ever.” Karen grew up in a family where weight was an issue for all of the women in the house. Food was always a comfort to Karen. She ate when she was nervous or anxious. “It’s something I still struggle with”.
